Many people have asked about Macies arrival story... so here goes. If you dont want to hear it... dont continute reading! :)
Lisa and Darrin and kiddos were at our house waiting for Macies arrival.. and this pic was taken shortly before we left out the door... 40w and 3d. I was leaking (water broke but not totally) so we were told to head in to the hospital.
Here she is! 9lbs 5oz and 20 inches long arrived at 7:52pm. I was a little frusterated with the midwife that delivered her... we had never met her before, and she didnt know me or what happened with Kenzies birth, so kinda put things off with breaking my water when we got in there. I labored in the tub and on the ball.. and finally broke my water a little after 5pm. By this time I was starving, irritated with everyone in the room but my amazing husband... I couldnt have done it without him! It was a bit more challenging this time around, but that was expected when she was born a bit bigger then Makenzie was! :) I was feeling my contractions change, and told the midwife i needed to push... and she said No... take it easy you are still at an 8. I nicely let her know I was NOT at an 8 and was going to push! Sure enough, she checked again and I was ready to roll. Im sure at this time Brendons hands were ready to fall off (after digging into my back thru contractions.... and now being squeezed thru each push..) but thankfully it didnt last long, and the midwife just watched as I pushed Macie out. My first thought was... I could have done this at home! Once again, another beautiful lil girl was born, sputtering out fluid and flailing with all her might. We fell in love all over again with our baby girl.
Not long after they got everything cleaned up, Lisa, Darrin, Brenna, Bennett, Em and Kenzie came running into the room. Makenzie wasnt sure what to think of this baby mama was holding...
Getting some snuggles in before headed on the road back home. (Still makes me laugh seeing my bare feet... Bennett was a little concerned I wasnt wearing socks)
Nana and Grandpa Reese came to see her shortly after too..
One of my favorite pics.... Daddy and his girls. Love them to the moon and back!
The day after Macie was born... BIG sister.

We came home after 24 hours (9pm the next night) and that evening it snowed an inch or so... so Brendon took Kenzie out to play in the snow!
