35+ weeks

Well yesterday we had to shovel. I didnt take pictures of the snow bc i tried not to look outside. :) We got around 6 inches, and the snowplow so nicely ran into our mailboxes. Guess he was tired of the snow too.
We are still having rough nights, as Makenzie is still stuffed up and coughing. Im pretty sure we are going to go away for a long time, somewhere with palm trees, cold drinks and a beach with sunshine. (I WISH!)
Even tho she is stuffed up, it doesnt slow her down any! In meeting sunday we got the "Oh she has her own little voice doesnt she.." Yep.. and its LOUD. Even tho we sit in the back for gospel meeting, Im pretty sure everyone knew we were there! :) She makes us laugh... alot. :)
Anyways... here is a few more pictures from the past week.
She LOVES to drink out of a cup.

An even better helper now.. :)

Loves climbing the stairs!

We like to be whereever the kids are.. :)

One night she was being a little cranky b/c i was busy and couldnt hold her. So, daddy put her on the fridge. She thought that was pretty fun.

Big grins!

We like yogurt!

Watching daddy spin a top.. a little tired.. (first time in a few months the paci has stayed that long in the mouth... didnt last long)

Peeking behind the pillow. Shes a smart lil cookie. (the dress is a 12 m dress... supposed to be long. Yes, shes tall.) :)

Eva brought a baby to play with one day, and Makenzie couldnt quite figure it out.

Happy girl.. I tried to take this picture when she was back in the kitchen, but she moves too quick I had to keep backing up! :) Shes our lil active girl thats for sure. (Being she is a horrible teether, we got the amber pain necklace for her... seems to make a difference so we LOVE it. ) :)

Come on Spring!

The snow is melting.. Ive opened the windows to air out the house (its been in the 50's!) and we are MORE then ready for spring!! :)
Ive tried several times to get on here and post pictures, and it doesnt allow me after all the upload, so we will keep trying. Here is updates tho from the past... month. EEk! She is already going to be 8 months on monday! CRAZY.
These past few weeks have been challenging. Brendon, Makenzie and I have all been sick.. and still are fighting it. Kenzie is finally able to sleep back in her bed all night (still waking up several times a night coughing/nursing/stuffed up) But that too will pass. Brendon was sick first, cough, stuffy, etc... at this time I had the flu. Then I got the cough, just in time to take the trip to IL for a funeral, and have had it since! Then Kenzie got it when we got back.. and weve been to the doctor twice for her. They diagnosed her with croup and gave her steroids, and it only got worse. Went back a few days later and she was diagnosed with RSV and tested for whooping cough. I *think* its just this cold, but everything is 10x worse in a baby!
*Kenzie has mastered climbing the stairs. Does it with no help at all... and often when shes not supposed to.
*She just got 2 more teeth! Now has 6.
*Shes 18 lbs.. not sure her height but too tall for any clothes that fit her in the waist.
*Kenzie is a giggle box.. grins and chatters like crazy too. (maybe like her mama) :)
*Climbs up on everything, and walks along anything.. (dishwasher, cupboards, coffee table etc etc)
*LOVES turning on the cd player and turning it up!
*Shes super quick in crawling, and is very determined.
*Shes a big mamas girl!
We love her to pieces and she is sure to put a smile on your face! :)

7 months old..

How do I begin to explain how this little peanut is changing... yet I cant imagine her any other way. Shes our world, our perfect, crazy, active, always changing world. We do alot of watching, laughing, protecting, tickling, smiling, supporting, comforting etc. She has gotten pretty quick in her moving around, and has NO fear. (I do remember many pics of me as a child with bruises because I was kinda like this.. maybe.. sorry mom and dad.) :)
She is pulling up on everything and loves to stand and move around on whatever shes holding on to. She walks along the coffee table, fireplace, around her new toy, pretty much whatever she can.
We are once again getting over colds here... this time Brendon got it bad, and Kenzie and I are trying to keep it away. Hoping this was the last one of the winter!! Come on springtime!! (as i woke up this morning to see the drive covered in a nice little layer of white.. again. really???)

She eyes this plant ALOT.

Daddy came home with a new toy for Makenzie this week.. and she LOVES it. The baby stuff wasnt cutting it anymore. :)

We still love the exersaucer in short doses, would rather be on the outside walking around it. :)

Weve also come to realize helping mommy with the dishwasher is alot of fun!! (unless the dishes are dirty and she gets shooed.)

This week we learned the toys get put in the green bucket, annnd its fun to dump the green bucket out.

Our new favorite toy!

One more thing we learned this week??? To climb the stairs, and shes good. Last night she climbed up the stairs without hesitation or looking back. (yes, i was right behind her) The railings can be a bit distracting at times because they are pretty cool.. :)

I realize I do laundry constantly.. (seeing baskets in alot of these pictures) and as i type there is a load sitting here I just took out of the dryer. Kenzie must think they are just another toy in this house. :P

Helping me with the dishwasher has a whole new meaning now that we realize we can climb up the dishwasher.... *sigh*

Hmm.. this is fun.. do we sit in this anymore? Nope. But it is fun to crawl up.

And its also fun to touch plants. Ive caught her many times touching the plants. She doesnt yank, just touches. Curious lil stinker.

This is the usual look after eating. Spoon in one hand, sippy in the other. She is a pro at her sippy cup now.

She was pushing the basket and talking away to me... :)

So, to prevent peanut from climbing up and turning the cd player on, I put this big pillow from our chair in front of it. She figured out how to get it down and use it to her advantage. We are not raising a dummy thats for sure. :)
Yes, I keep telling ppl that see Kenzie, she is only 7 months old.

28-29 weeks

Well.. once again Im a little behind. :) Makenzie is growing like crazy..
We just got over fighting another cold... and having new kids here brought some new colds. (oofta). I now seriously know what sleepless nights are. :-/ Kenzie has 4 teeth, and is working on 2 more. Shes drooling like crazy and chews on EVERYTHING. We have a new love for teething biscuits!
Even tho they are a little messy..... :)

Kenzie also loves sippy cups. She does really good drinking out of them now too! I decided to skip the whole bottle thing and go straight to this... she does great.

We have also perfected pulling up on EVERYTHING.

Happy girl!!

Seeing what daddy is doing up there...

She also knows how to turn on the cd player, and turn it up.... thinks shes quite funny too. :)

Pulling up to the rocker that is just her size!

I think this is one of my favorite pics.. :) chewing on a motorcycle.

She also moves from the coffee table to the couch.

This is what happens when i grab ahold of the bin underneath.......

Whoops. :)

CHEESE! This was actually taken in the dark... we lost our electricty for a few hours sunday night and ate with candle light.

Not only are we pulling up, we are pushing the laundry basket and taking a few steps. Yes, kenzie is not yet 7 months. I have gotten busier faster then I thought I would. :)

This is the norm around here... I started taking care of another family and the two oldest kiddos here LOVE everything Kenzie does. (both girls are 5 yrs old)

This is my dear hubby.. who thinks he is funny. Apparently if you cover yourself with a blanket, your wife and daughter wont bother you. He learned this wasnt true reeeeeally quick. :)
Here is Brendons latest creation... see the snow plow out front. Apparently its time for spring. :)
