ONE year old....

Well.. its official... Makenzie is ONE. Wow. What a fantastic year of learning for all of us! An awesome experience a year ago made us into a little family.. and life has been full of laughs, tears, giggles, screams, teaching, learning etc etc etc... (as for many years to come Im thinking..) :)
Shes loves to take the jars out of the cupboard and the lids... and will sit there trying to put them on and off for awhile. Smart cookie. :)

Also discovered that climbing on top of the learning table is the new cool thing to do.

And climbing in the bottom of the stove of course.

But also loves to just sit and read. Its amazing this little busy body can be so calm at times. :)

Or climb up in the big chair and play with cars. She feels pretty proud when she gets up here.. turns around, plops down and grins. :)

This is what happened when momma was dipping the cake balls. I heard "mama mama mama mama" reaching for the cake balls while standing at my feet that I finally gave in. Happy Birthday to our lil peanut!

This was a present from Grandpa and Grandma Reese. She loves it!

This was from Great Grandma Reese... Also very fun!

Happy first Birthday Makenzie Jean!

She would NOT eat her cupcake. Did not want to get her fingers dirty.(this is not usual for this girl so kinda took us off guard..) However, lately she has loved to eat with a spoon, so i gave her one, she took one bite but prefered the cake pop better. Silly girl. Its her birthday after all.. so she got what she wanted. :) (and how can you resist that face!??!)

Blowing out the candle

Back to the balloon boquet.

And yet another cake pop. :)

She LOVED hearing "happy birthday" sang to  her. Can you tell?? :)

Daddy helping blow it out.

Tired tired girl after the party... we had a good nap.

After naptime back out to play! Thanks Chad and Anna for another outside toy!

Walking is the next best thing when you are stuck!

Playing with a dolly with dad. This is what its going to look like in a few months... Well sorta. You get the drift. :) Hopefully a little more gentleness from Kenzie

Out to eat with Grammy and Papa. Thanks for coming to help celebrate the big #1! Couldnt have done it without you guys!!!!!

Fourth of July and life since then... :)

I finally was able to load some of these pictures from the 4th! Jillayne took a ton of good ones.. but here is a few. :) I forgot my camera at home and drove myself crazy the whole time we were there thinking about where I might have put it. Life.
Makenzie enjoyed eating up to the table with a big girl bowl. :) Avacados and black beans on the menu here.

We went thru hail and pouring rain on the way out, and got out there before this storm hit. LOTS of rain, hail, wind etc. Lost electricity but thankfully came back on to eat supper.

And chat on the phone. :)

Playing with daddy and Uncle tim

Peek a boo!

Fun to see cousins Lane and Alesha Carlson and their lil peanut Annika. She is 3 months older then Kenzie.

Our lil family.

We had a fun day out on the boat! Kenzie didnt enjoy her life jacket for very long, but it was fun while it lasted in spurts. :)

My handsome hubby on the wakeboard

While I was tubing.... dont worry, it was a gentle ride for the most part. :)

Weve been enjoying these hot days in the little pool... she loves it!

Happy girly with her piggy tails

At the Mayer days

Walking down the sidewalk... big girl on Sunday. :)
Here is baby GIRL #2. 20 weeks along! How in the world am I already halfway through this pregnancy? Ive been feeling great... pretty much the same exact way as I was with Makenzie. We are glad baby is looking perfectly wonderful and quite active. (tho not suprised at all on the active part with the big sister she has..) She was flipping around so much it was hard for the ultrasound tech to get a clear good picture of everything. Her words were... "look at her feet! They are like drum sticks.. constantly going." Excited to keep the pink going! :)

Fun days of summer...

This past week we went up to Motes for some pool fun! Kenzie first time in a pool and she loved it. By the end of the day she was going fast as she could for the steps to hop in. Crazy girl... :)

Found out she has a reaction to the sunscreen I bought.. so will be out to get some more soon! So frusterating... poor punkin.

She liked being up and seeing everything much better then confined in her floaty. Shes one independant lil chick.

I took a popsicle out of the freezer last night with intent to share a few licks with Kenzie. However, one lick and she grabbed the thing away and wouldnt give it back.

Was quite funny! Thankfully the berry mess came out fine!
We had an awesome 4th of July weekend out at Uncle Tim and Auntie Jays.. those pics to come. :) My computer was being a bit slow so figured id get these posted while they were still up.
Kenzie has decided walking on her own is pretty cool! Shes taking steps like crazy.. and has no hesitation letting go and walking. She also loves to copy you if you talk with your hands.. and of course knows everything is funny when you laugh too. I didnt realize how much I laugh and smack my leg.. but shes a pro. :)
