Ouch!

Here is the latest... everytime shes up close enough to grab anything she does.. and her grip isnt wimpy.

Today we went for a walk, and about got blown away! Makenzie slept the whole time tho thankfully.. got a little workout in again. :)

Its SO hot in here today.. we have had the windows open b/c its been so nice out.. but had to close most of them b/c of the wind. Therefore=hot... naked babes.

Brendon is working late as usual.. its been after 11pm before hes home most nights.. i should be thankful hes working.. but here I am complaining. :(

I tried out the moby wrap today! I failed to get much done while Kenzie was napping.. (partly b/c last night she actually woke up a few times in the night..) and I was tired! So, while she was good and content, I was laying down too... She wasnt sure what to think of the wrap.. tried to eat it. Then again, she tries to eat most everything that comes near her.

5 weeks

Today Brendon was nice enough to come home and watch Makenzie while i ran to the dentist to get a cavity filled. Had to do it without novacain b/c of breast feeding.. Im pretty sure my pain tolerance has gone way up. :)
Here is a few updates of our peanut... shes getting stronger and looking back at pics.. i see bigger!! And we love her more and more every day...

We love bathtime!! All 3 of us.. :) It calms her right down, and she will sit in the tub forever.

Shes got such bright eyes!! Always looking at everything.

1 month photo shoot

Brendons cousin was in town from Oregon.... and was awesome enough to come do Makenzies one month photo shoot. All we had to do was make supper. :) She wasnt wanting to sit still, so we used the paci so keep her quiet for a min, pull it out and snap! Cant wait to see the rest of the pictures she took.. but here is one!

SO hard to think of a month already past for lil Makenzie.. shes growing like a weed.. getting some pinchable cheeks (or should i say kissable..) :) and rolls that are so stinkin cute!!
Shes doing really good at keeping her head up.. i set her in the bumbo seat today and she was like What in the world?!? Didnt get a picture yet of that tho. Seems that i forget to take them im too caught up in watching her and smiling like crazy. :) a few pictures to hold my sis over.... :)

 As you can see, ive been slacking in the picture department being all these were taken today... :)

She gets her 1 month pics done tomorrow tho... exciting!!

4 weeks old..

Figured Id better post the next weeks pictures.. Just a few as Brendons been working late every night this week and shes been fussy.. which makes for a busy me. (but im really not complaining) :)
Last night was the 3rd straight night of Makenzie sleeping 7 hrs straight! WHOOHOO!! Yay for us getting a bit of sleep too! :)
She holds her head up every possible chance she gets.. always bright eyed.

3.5 weeks

Our cute lil offspring is growing quick.. too quick... but we are loving every min of it. :) yes.. even at 2am.. b/c shes usually pretty good at just waking up once a night to eat. (usually).
Shes started smiling.. but just occasionally.. and we managed to catch a few on camera!

Going on 3 weeks...

I was hoping to get an afternoon nap in today, but the huge crack of thunder that woke me up with my heart a pumpin took care of that for me.. so i figured id add a few more pictures to the blog. :)
Makenzie is looking a little more grown up to me now.. (even tho shes still a lil squirt). Shes been caught a few times sucking her thumb, fingers, knuckles, clothes, whatever she can when shes awake. She also grabs your cheeks or hair when you hold her up against you. Cant wait til she really knows what shes doing.. :)
So, we've been trying different pacis... today she did good with this one..

Our evenings now consist of us looking at her... still trying to believe shes a little part of us. And quite happy in believing it. <3

Week 2..

WOW this is going by way too fast. ;) Our neighbors that we were "borrowing" the internet from moved away this past weekend... so we waited til the new neighbors moved in and whala... we can borrow again. :) (i know its horrible.. but if it saves from paying an arm and a leg we are ok with that)
Friday mom left... it was a bit of a tough day.. and thankfully Brendon was able to stay home from work with his girls. This week he has worked late every night making it a little tough too... but we are thankful he is busy! Ive had lots of company.. which is tiring and fun all at the same time. I am glad for the times Makenzie naps.. because i nap right along with her (except for now.. which I should be). Will be uploading pics soon as she seems to be changing by the day... we still look at her in amazement that we are so lucky to have a perfect little girl, perfect little family. <3
I sit and think sometimes... and am overwhelmed with love. We've been remembered by so many wonderful friends. This whole experience has been amazing.. and those of you with kids know exactly what im talking about. Im so grateful for a loving family, great friends, an awesome husband and wonderful father for my little peanut!
